The Old Fort Mifflin Paranormal Investigators Society is a magnet society to organize the efforts of independent paranormal societies and solitary investigators. There is a group of persons from the paranormal community who give aid and assistance to the staff at Fort Mifflin for events and fund raisers. Forming the OFMPIS will be creating a formalized relationship between paranormal investigators and “Fort Mifflin on the Delaware”. There already exists a group of re-enactors called “The Old Fort Mifflin Historical Society “made up of living historians who have been doing this for many decades. OFMPIS will collect no dues or monies, we do suggest that all persons who join us become a member of “Fort Mifflin on the Delaware”. http://www.fortmifflin.us/fort.html

There has always been a great need for volunteer support at the fort for events, service days, and fund raisers. The living historians have done much to fill these needs. The cut back in funding now makes the need even greater. The paranormal community has overwhelming offered its help to the Fort. The Old Fort Mifflin Paranormal Investigators Society as a magnet society will be there will organize that offered help and together we WILL SAVE THE FORT THAT SAVED AMERICA.
